Hi my healthy friend 🙂
From the moment, we come out of our mother’s stomach at birth, our human body reacts, adapts to vital needs and will be subject to whatever we put in it as long as we are under age or not mature enough.
But afterwards, we will be by ourselves in terms of the food choices we make along with the drinks that we gulped down, coupled with the external environment our body will be faced with; and for that, what is our background?
The habits and routines that started in childhood, were they dictated by what our parents forced us to do?
The daily requirements that make up our daily energy supply (food and drink) are they in last place or do they take first priority?
We usually trust whatever source of food and drink that we find at any given time.
And the world outside, food companies or street corner food vendors, are they really there to find a way to survive or to make a lot of money, or are they really there to take care of us and our health? Do they even really know what’s in their products?
Why just throw the dice and let fate tell us whether we will live a long life or not? If we will be sick or not?
Let’s come back again, if you don’t mind, to our basic needs, in order to give us all the elements and knowledge necessary to make a choice in any case.
Human beings are powered by a diverse palette of needs.
Let’s concentrate, if I may on those that require voluntary actions on our part to know the basic needs that are crucial to survival.
Once again, let’s put aside elements like ensuring your physical safety, reproducing, dressing, finding accommodation, moving and having real social contact with others etc.
Let’s focus on nourishing ourselves (Air, water, nutrients). Breathing will be taken care of naturally and the importance of water will be looked at in a later article. Let’s focus on essential nutrients.
A nutrient is a component in foods that an organism uses to survive and grow.
The human body must ingest essential nutrients (essential nutrient = food) as he cannot synthesize them internally (either at all, or in sufficient quantities).
In order to function well, our body needs two things:
Fructose, glucose, galactose, sucrose, ribose, amylose, amylopectin, maltose, lactose.
Essential amino acids (Proteins)
Phenylalanine, valine, threonine, tryptophan, methionine, leucine, isoleucine, lysine. There are two more Essential amino acids for children.
Alpha-linolenic acid (An omega-3 fatty acid) and linoleic acid (An omega-6 fatty acid).
Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin D, Vitamin E, Vitamin K, Thiamine (B1), Riboflavin (B2), Niacin (B3), Pantothenic Acid (B5), Vitamin B6, Biotin (B7), Folic Acid (B9), Vitamin B12, Choline.
Minerals & Trace elements
The major ones are potassium, sodium, magnesium, calcium, phosphorus, chlorine, iron, copper, zinc, manganese, cobalt, molybdenum, iodine, selenium, chromium.
FYI… Carbohydrates are not mandatory to stay alive. We can find the energy required thanks to fats and proteins (which we cannot survive without). It is obviously preferable, however, to get some good carbohydrates by eating certain healthy foods.
Let’s do a summarise so we remember the main points. I do hope that this article is helping you with the topic and will help your daily life.
To give you a hand in finding those nutrients, here are a few examples amongst many…
Pumpkin seeds, spinach, quinoa, chia seeds, sweet corn, nuts, olive oil, avocado, salmon, sunflower seeds, Brazil nuts, black pepper, almond, broccoli, parsley, honey, lentil, tomato, banana, kiwi, lemon, strawberry, lychee, mushroom, herring, anchovy, walnuts, egg, apple, rice, carrot etc.
Everything else you daily put in your body is either just an empty calorie (empty calories are all nutrients that have calories but no nutritional value and do nothing for your health) or toxic.
Therefore, we poison our body every time we get off the track regarding our daily energy supply (food and drink) in order to enjoy life.
We cannot be surprised and remain uncomprehending when asking ourselves why people around us (or we ourselves) die prematurely due to more or less serious illnesses. Resignation and sadness should not become banal and part of our daily lives.
In today’s world, we are constantly asked to poison our bodies so much that the percentage of healthy foods or beverages is low in comparison to useless or toxic food.
You can’t master your future if you are staying slave of your past…
Below are a few examples amongst many regarding changes to my eating habits:
My healthy friends, I do hope that the above information makes you aware of our basic needs. No, the fact that having a cavity has become so commonplace that it is no longer considered a sickness is not normal.
All the fluorine additives and other synthetic products will never match simply cutting back on white sugar. No, allergies, weight gain, varicose veins, hypertension, osteoarthritis, fibromas, polyps are not normal and should be cause for concern.
These are the precursors of immune dysfunction that precedes much more serious diseases… It has gotten to the point where these days, to say someone died of natural causes, that is to say of old age like I mentioned on the blog post “about me”, is becoming rare.
And you? How are your eating habits? Tell me in the comments.
Wishing you a long and healthy life 😊
